We are a family of five living in a town called Ossett in West Yorkshire.
Our three 'children' are all living at home with us two of them being in their twenties and a third somewhat younger at the age of five.
Last year we decided that a dog would be a nice addition to our family. I have owned dogs on and off for most of my adult life, but we had been without a dog for around 7 years due to work/family commitments. However, now our lives have settled and I am lucky to only have to work 2 days per week, we thought that the time was right. We love walking and camping and thought how nice it would be to have a dog again to enjoy this lifestyle with.
So the search for the perfect addition to our family began. We knew we wanted a puppy rather than an older dog, as we wanted to train the dog from scratch.
We were watching Crufts 2006, which we always follow, when a Labradoodle was brought into the studio and some background was given on how the Labradoodle came to be. We loved the look of the dog, and really liked the idea of the Standard Poodle/Labrador cross.
Our mind was made up, and we began our reasearch into this fabulous cross breed. After researching via the internet, books etc. we finally made our choice and opted for an F1 standard Labradoodle girl.
Rosie joined our household in late August 2006, and we have never looked back.
On 24th November 2007 we brought home another addition to our family.
Molly is a black F1 girl born 19th September 2007.
